  5. The Microtec Research XRAY Debugger is a host-based, source-level debugging
  6. tool for the Motorola 680.0 family of microprocessors.  Using and
  7. instruction-set simulation execution engine, XRAY68K gives the software
  8. engineer complete control of the execution of programs written in C, C++,
  9. and/or assembly language.  The user can single-step through programs, set
  10. instructions and data breakpoints, and continuously monitor program data
  11. structures.  The easy-to-learn, host-independant user interface features a
  12. powerful macro/command language which can be used to create complex
  13. breakpoints and debug-time program patches.  The XRAY Debugger/Simulator
  14. features the DX software analysis tool.  XRAY/DX which performance analysis
  15. and code-coverage such that program runtime behavior can be analyzed and
  16. turned for optimum performance.  XRAY/DX is of maximum benefit to software
  17. engineers who design, implement, test, and maintain realtime embedded
  18. applications and need to determine and validate the operational
  19. characteristics of their program.  XRAY/DX identifies performance bottlenecks
  20. with the following reports/histograms:  FLAT - describes where time is spent
  21. within a program; CALL GRAPH - illustrates dynamic calling paths; DEMAND
  22. describes the frequency of function calling; DURATION - details execution time
  23. distribution.  XRAY/DX code coverage tools can be used in conjunction with
  24. software test suits to determine whether every source-level statement or
  25. assembly language instruction has been exercised.  The industry standard XRAY
  26. debugger features:  source-level and assembly debug of optimized code;
  27. window-oriented user interface; C-like command/macro language with breakpoint
  28. macros and user function calls; continuous viewing of C expressions and
